SriLankanism is a community dictionary for the words Sri Lankans actually use. That means the slang, the inside jokes, the office shorthand, and the everyday mix of English and Sinhala that you won’t find in a regular dictionary. Most of it lives in conversation and never gets written down, so meanings drift from person to person and older terms quietly fade. We want to record them properly, with a clear meaning, an example, and both the English and Sinhala spellings where they apply.
Anyone can search and read it for free. To add a word, suggest an edit, or vote, just sign in. Every submission is reviewed before it goes live. If a word is missing, add it and have a quick look at the submission guidelines first.
